Where would it be better to celebrate World Environment Day if not outside? Starting at 8am today people were invited to spent World Environment Day in Regional Park Kolpa. The day started with some information about the importance of protecting the environment and could be continued with a sunny sunday hike through the park.
The Regional Park stretches along the broder river Kolpa within the municipality of Črnomelj. The river that changes its character repeatedly through the valley is undoubtedly the main attraction of the park. It opens wide in the beginning, narrows down on its further way, forms a canyon with high, overhanging rock faces and takes major shifts. A river's journey that is most definetely woth to take part in.
