The Metlika Castle is a 15th-century castle located above the old part of the town of Metlika. The castle was first mentioned in written sources in 1456 and after surviving World War II, it's converted into the headquarters of the Museum of White Carniola.
From this Friday, 1st of June, you can experience the ''Metlika Cultural Summer''. Summer events in Metlika Castle started in 1982 and represent an important tradition.
The hosts are happy to invite people of all ages, domestic and foreign guests, to witness this quality programme. The event will consist of stage plays, concerts, monocomedies, interviews, poetry,...
You will see top domestic and foreign performers, which is clearly shown by the growing number of event attendees.
Come to the Castle Tonight,
gently sounds an invitation,
come to admire
what will happen here.
