If you love hiking and nature, there is an event you will want to participate in: the Traditional International Hiking Tour of the Nearest Slovenian Footpath, which will take place on Sunday 13th of May from 09:00 to 14:00. You need to add this to your travel list!
This southernmost Slovenian footpath runs from Damlje to Radenci along the picturesque Copper canyon in unspoiled nature in the area of Kolpa Regional Park. The itinerary includes a walk along the Kolpa River near the Trpotec spring, known for its eternal youth property; the village of Breg where the last working mill on the Kolpa River is; the French stone and the village of Kot pri Damlju, the southernmost point of Slovenia; and the village of Damelj.
This traditional hike offers a great opportunity for participants to meet with local people and try their culinary specialties in addition to discovering the beautiful landscapes of Bela krajina.
