Since 1985 the Styriarte has brought classical music to everyone’s attention in the form of a beautiful festival that pursues to rediscover the long-lost variations of our musical heritage. What makes the festival so unique is the gorgeous settings in which the concerts are held: Styriarte takes place in the well preserved historical city centre of the Styrian capital Graz. The renowned historical sites and halls create a very special atmosphere for the classical music event.
In the previous years, the festival programme has been dedicated to individual composers, for example to Monteverdi, Schubert, Mozart or Beethoven. Since 1992, Styriarte has given each year’s festival a special theme. The theme of this year’s Styriarte is happiness, and for a whole month from June 22 to July 22 visitors can enjoy Rococo style celebration, Baroque opera and various other amazing concerts.
