Saxon culture festival celebrated all around central Romania

The Haferland Week Festival celebrates the Saxon cultural heritage, dedicated both to Transylvanian Saxons and to visitors who want to discover more of Transylvania. The sixth edition of the festival will take place between 2nd and 6th of August in the localities of Archita, Roadeş, Saschiz, Rupea, Criţ, Buneşti, Meşendorf, Cloaşterf, and Viscri.

The festival will open with crafts demonstrations, trips by tractor, cart or bicycle, music, dances, and a celebration for children. The highlight will be on 4th of August at the fortified church in Criţ village, where violinist Alexandru Tomescu will perform.
