Numerous events promoting the importance of green surfaces in the city will be organised this month in Ljubljana, the Green Capital of Europe 2016. According to the municipality, Ljubljana boasts 542 square metres of public green areas per inhabitant.
The main venue for the various activities and admission-free events will be the Green Capital of Europe information office in front of the town hall.
The city administration will present a project on renewal of degraded urban surfaces, while visitors will be able to learn about urban gardening and farming.
The events, several of them and organised as part of the campaign, will promote smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in Europe.
