Official PyeongChang 2018 APP
The official Olympic winter games PyeongChang 2018 app is available since 8 of November. The app is free to work in Korean, Chinese, English, French and Japanese. The app is available from both the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store.
It is going to keep the users from all over the world informed about all the latest news and information on the xxiii Olympic winter games. The app will be in “Olympic Torch Relay mode” through to 28 January 2018, giving users the oppotunity to follow every step of the Olympic flame’s journey around the Republic of Korea. Moreover, the app will keep users right up to date with the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Torch Relay, serving up photo galleries, all the latest news, route information and a live stream of each leg.
On 29 January, with just 12 days remaining before the start of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, the app will take on a fresh role and become a one-stop shop for all things PyeongChang 2018. The app is supported by the official Games website (www.pyeongchang2018.com), which has been given a makeover to be the same with the launch. In bringing the Games vividly to life, the new-look website offers all the latest information on the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Torch Relay and will provide an essential go-to resource right the way through to the end of the Paralympic Winter Games in March 2018.
“PyeongChang 2018 will be the most technologically advanced Games ever, so it is very important that we have an interesting and easy-to-use app for all Olympic and Paralympic fans, so they can feel connected to the Games wherever they may be,” said Lee Hee-beom, the President of the PyeongChang Organising.
He also claimed that: “We want to ensure that we reach as many sports fans and mobile users as possible with our new application. We hope they will enjoy following the Olympic torch’s journey as it makes its way to the PyeongChang Olympic Plaza, before kicking into Games mode with us and sharing in the passion and excitement that will play out on snow and ice.”
