Some Advices from a New Yorker:Ayse Birsel of Birsel + Seck

Ayse Birsel belongs to the new generation of New Yorker designer although she was born in Turkey. She is the co-founder of Birsel + Seck designer -the company which has clients from many well-known brand names such as Herman Miller/Living Office, GE, Toyota, Tiffany & Co... Ayse Birsel gave an interview to core77 and listed some advice for new designers.

According to Ayse Birsel,

-Birsel + Seck Company is looking for friend with "kindness, generosity, authenticity, thoughtfulness " not just employee

-"Take initiative, be self-directed, strive to do great work and be open to trying new things (we experiment continuously) are signs of a good fit for 'a friend.' "

-Never bring your parent to job interview :)

-Do internship to get attention of companies

-Before starting to work, do something in the your school or community.

-Your first purpose must be helping people
