The Salzburg Cathedral, a masterpiece of history and architecture, is not only the catholic center of Salzburg, but also a treasury. The cathedral offers a lot to discover: the baptismal font, the crypt, the art installation Vanitas and a chest containing relics of saints Rupert and Virgil. If you look closely, you can even find a 370-year-old graffiti in the marble entrance!
On Friday 17th of August, starting at 14:00, visitors can attend a tour through the cathedral and the mysterious crypt inside. On this tour you can witness the history of hundreds of years, including the baptismal font in which W. A. Mozart and Joseph Mohr were baptized! Admission fee for the tour is 5€.
