Salzburg is definitely THE “Sound of Music” city!

Besides the innumerable important artists, there are the concerts, events and musical presentations. However, to call Salzburg the “Sound of Music city” means a lot more here! And I bet you know why! Don't you?

Yeah!! The movie The Sound of Music, which received five Oscars, is a 1965 American production based on the story of the Trapp Family Singers written by Maria von Trapp.

Based on real facts, the writings are about the novice Maria Kutschera, who “moves in with the Trapps as the children’s governess and shortly afterwards marries the widower father of the family. In the 1930s they found a family choir, which, after their emigration to the United States in 1938”, according to Salzburg.info.
