Romanian Navy Museum - The only one in Romania

The museum was founded on the 25th of October 1965. The building, which houses big part of the historical patrimony of the Navy, it has itself declared a historical monument. The exhibition of the museum is organized into four sections:

  • Ancient,

  • Medieval,

  • Modern, and

  • Contemporary eras,

which are presented in 128 rooms with a surface of 10,000 sqm.

The Navy Museum, through thousands of layouts, reproducing all types of existent boats in our military and commercial navy, from its beginning up to our days, navigation instruments, documents and photographs, arme blanche and fire guns, propellers, flags and pavilions, exhibits with a high scientific and documentary value, shape for the interested public a true history of the Romanian navigation, the development of the navy technique, of the commercial and military relation of the Navy.
