Romania is dedicated to creating its own tourism destinations. One of them is Turda salt mine where is located in the Durgău-Valea Sărată area of Turda, the second largest city in Cluj County, Romania.
Turda received more than 580,000 tourists last year and in this case, it became most visited mine tourist destination in the world. But this is not the coincidence for Turda. The mine site was promoted last year February at Tel Aviv International Tourism Fair besides 23 tourist agencies and regional promotion from Romania.
On the other hand, the management of mine site is planning to create more attractions such as playground for children, sports areas, pool, to increase of foreign and local tourist amount.
