The Organizing Committee are pleased to note that this year's “Vinska Vigred” was extremely successful and full of enthusiasm, so the next one is planned for May 2017.
In the tree days of this wine festival, Metlika was visited by over 20 thousand people.
Vendors of food and beverages note that this year's visitors were quite hungry and thirsty. There were sold around 210 lambs and piglets on a spit, about 10 thousand liters of wine, and more than 600 Bela krajina cake. The event this year brightened up the courtyard with excellent cuisine ‘The flavors of Bela Krajina’, which was among the visitors Vigred extremely well-received. Also, visit tasting cellars and workshops baking cake this year was massive.
Overall, the three stages range of more than 750 performers who have made sure that the program is suitable for all ages, from the youngest to the pensioners. On Saturday, from Ljubljana to the festival came 600 riders. On the course Urbanova, there were participating 90 adult runners, and on Urbančkovem course children were competing.
This year we will remain in the memory the sunny weather, the substantial increase in visits, a strong representation of business people at the event, a great visit of young people in the evenings and especially after a really excellent wines.
