Jurjevanje Bela Krajina is the oldest folklore festival in Slovenia and a member of the World Federation of folklore festivals CIOFF.
The festival celebrates the diversity of cultures and this brings the "traditional" with the "modern", the local and the global. It is a tool for the implementation of the principles of sustainable and integrated development of Bela Krajina, receiving the title of the European Destination of Excellence 2010 Green destination: Slovenia, while Jurjevanje stop event without waste.
