Castle Seggau in Leibnitz

The Seggau Castle in Leibnitz is a destination in Styria well worth seeing! Its most important features are the regency rooms and more than 300-year-old Episcopal vineyard that are one of the oldest and largest in the state!

The history of the surroundings of the Seggau Castle go way back to the time of the Celts and Romans. The upper castle was built by the Salzburg archbishops in the 12th century as a mission and administrative bastion. This castle and it’s fascinating history is a must-see in Styria!
