Wine cellar Šuklje

Šuklje is one of BIG BERRY's proud partner and has a tradition that is more than 140 year old and started when ancestor Matija Šuklje bought the hill and planted the first grapevine. The love towards the land and knowledge was transmitted from generation to generation and resulted in exquisite quality in wines, both red and white.

Šuklje family takes care of 5 hektars of vineyards together with a group of wine experts and enologists. The father, with more than 30 years of experience, is responsible for the selection of best grapes, his daughter Katja deals with the process that goes on when grapes arrive in the cellar and his son Matija is responsible for marketing and the brand itself. They offer their best wine exactly on the hill which was bought 140 years ago. They also serve the best Slovenian meat cuisine on request and for larger groups. Nevertheless, you can always pay them a visit and enjoy the beautiful scenery from the top, looking on red roses and vineyards.
