The source of the river Krupa

The source of the Krupa River is the largest and one of the most beautiful and biologically most important karst springs in Bela Krajina. At high flow of the river flowing beneath the 30 m high rock wall at a rate of 1000 l / s. The spring is the habitat of proteus and the only known location of the pit shells congeria Kuščer in Slovenia. The headwaters of the river is located close to the village Semič.
