Joel Weber - Necessity is the mother of invention

Necessity is the mother of invention. As common in the US, a lot of students take on a loan in order to be financially stable during their study time. But 25-year-old Joel Weber truly made an exception. Instead of having a long talk with his bank, Joel became creative. In order to avoid spending money on room and board, he started building his very own miniature home. Joel, who studies at the University of Texas, created his own full-sized house on approximately 14 square meters. It has two lofts, a stove, a sink and a shower. The house runs on full electricity and plumbing. After all, Joel spent $20,000 and a year building the house. Besides his own savings, he was able to count on help from family, friends and even the community.

Despite having 20 square meters less than he would have had in one of BIG BERRY's mobile houses, these two share the luxury of mobility and creating a comfortable living area within limited space. Check out BIG BERRY's solution to homey mobile houses in comparison to Joel's.
