BIG BERRY PEOPLE

J.K. Rowling bringing magic to BIG BERRY

Okay, we admit it. At least half of our BIG BERRY team has waited for their acceptence letters from Hogwarts - School of Witchcraft and Wizardy on our 11th birthdays. Being among the unlucky ones who did not receive one we could "only" experience Hogwarts through they eyes of Harry Potter which was great. Joanne Rowling, the mastermind behind Harry Potter's adventures, has clearly influenced our childhoods. Rowling was hit by creativity on a trainride from Manchester to London in 1990 and started creating the world of Harry Potter. Although she is mostly known for her Harry Potter series, Rowling published more books, such as "The Casual Vacancy", a novel for adults, and takes up public position in political matters. Rowling, who lost her mother due to Multiple Sclerosis, is the president of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Scotland  and has donated a lot of money to research and treatment of this disease. For her dedication, Rowling received the title of honorary doctor of the University of Aberdeen.

Joanne Rowling's life story is truly inspiring and shows how valuable engaging imagination and creativity is. We still enjoy to read her books in one of our hanging chairs and forget the world around us.
