How to look your best in the photos?

1,2,3... say kimchiiii! Does it ring any bells? Probably not, but that's the sound of Korean people taking a photo! This is just another example of the importance “kimchi” has here and how wide is its use.

As already mentioned in one of the previous posts, the meaning of kimchi goes above just being the food. It's a part of Korean culture and everyday life, it represents a lifestyle. With all that, it's also very helpful if you want to turn out happy and smiling in the photos.

Slightly more popular expression worldwide while getting snapped, mostly used by the english speakers, is "Cheese", because the shape of the mouth while pronouncing that word is forming a smiling facial expression. But, if you try to say the word 'Kimchi', it will also drag your lips in a wide smile and make you look happy in the photo.

Another significant gesture Korean people use when having their picture taken is a V-shaped sign with the hands, which usually stands for “peace” and “victory” or simply looking cool in the photos. For South Korea, as well as many other Asian countries, this gesture became a cultural thing and it’s quite unusual to see someone taking a photo without those two fingers up in the air.

Although the culture of photography is a bit different in the Western world, it’s nothing less popular. As an eventful concept, BIG BERRY organized a Photography Day last summer in August, which took place in BB Kolpa River Slovenia. In this fun and artistic event, lots of talented photographers were hosted in order to make the exhibition of their finest work.
