Winter Olympics mascot Soohorang, the white tiger

The 2018 Winter Olympics will come true on February 9-25, taking place in PyeongChang, South Korea.

It is important to know that, this will be the second Olympic Games held in South Korea, as Seoul hosted the Summer Olympics in 1988. The 2018 mascot of Winter Olympics is a white tiger, which named Soohorang. The tiger is "closely associated with Korean mythology and culture" and is a "familiar figure in Korean folk tales as a symbol of trust, strength and protection," according to the Games website. Actually, the white tiger has been long considered Korea’s guardian animal.

It is supposed to symbolize the protection offered to the athletes, spectators and other participants of the 2018 Games. Soohorang is considered to a honest friend!
