Trip to Wallersee
Peacefulness of crystal clear water, formidable Alps, green forests under the blue sky ― that is a heaven on Earth, which is called Wallersee. This lake is considered to be the biggest one in northern Salzburg. The name comes from German ‘Walchen’, meaning a ‘stranger’, which used to describe Romano-Celtic people. After the first World War the lake’s area became popular with artists, and writers, in particular. Wallersee was once an inspiration for many writers. In the nineteenth century it was Wagner, Stelzhamer, Freumbicher who found Wallersee as a source of inspiration for their works. One can enjoy various activities at Wallersee: swimming, windsurfing, and sailing. Once you encounter this marvellous place, you will definitely want to return there.
