Slovenian cross country skier representative
Anamarija Lampič, a cross country skier and Slovenian representative from the Kranj club has already started with the new season and preparations for Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. She is looking forward to the new competitive challenges and strives to achieve much more than in the previous season.
During November, Anamarija was preparing and training in Davos, Swizerland, for the participation in FIS Alpine Ski World Cup that was held in Finland last week. "Indeed, it is still good that we have been allowed one week training in Davos, one of the most expensive places on the old continent, where we practiced in a four-mile round on the artificial snow. But in Finland, there is a track with a natural snow, which is why I am already quite anxious about coming to the real winter environment, "she stressed before the middle of the trip to the Nordic country, where the FIS match was held.
"I do not know the competition that will be on this final test before the World Cup, but I'm not really consered about the competition. In particular, I am interested in the personal level of preparedness for introduction to the season, but of course I want to be more successful from the very beginnning in collecting the points in Finland and Norway than one year ago, "says Anamarija.
Anamarija also commented on the Olympic games: "Uf, there's still such a long way to go, really, until the middle of February there is still a lot of things to be done," she stated. "It's true, the classical style remains "mine". I am well aware that I need to improve the skating pitch, but the two most important sprints in winter, the one in January and February Olympics, will be all about the classics, which suits me right".
She is looking forward to the new challenges and achieving good results this season.
