Explore the lakes around Salzburg

Let’s leave the city for a bit and enjoy a relaxing and calm atmosphere in some lakes around Salzburg.

Wallersee is a beautiful lake you can reach by train and is only about 20 minutes from Salzburg Central Station.

There you have plenty of activities to practice around it, such as stand up pedal, canoeing, fishing, biking, kitesurfing, swimming, and playing sand volleyball.

Other two lakes you can easily reach from Salzburg that will leave you breathless, are Mattsee or Wolfgangsee.
