The Romanian edition of an international restaurant guide

The international restaurant guide Gault & Millau was established by food journalists Henri Gault and Christian Millau in 1965 in France. In that time, it has extended to be a series of editions with a total of 20 countries. The guide focuses on the “nouvelle cuisine” concept, emphasizing fresh ingredients and innovation in cooking.

At the end of last year, the assessors visited and graded different restaurants in Romania on a scale from 1 to 20. The restaurants receiving at least 10 points are listed in the yearly guide, on the website and the mobile app. According to Gault & Millau, the Romanians’ increasing interest in the culinary art and the curiosity to discover new flavors justifies the launch of a local edition.
