Salzburg Open-Air Museum

Salzburg open air museum represents how life was in the area from the 16th to the 20th century. The area of over 50 hectares displays the traditions of farming, living and economy in the rural Salzburg. The characteristic houses and farmyards have been turned into an Open-Air Museum, rebuilt to their original state and authentically furnished.

The Salzburg Open-Air Museum displays ancient handicraft techniques, old tools and old farm machinery. Visitors can also enjoy special exhibitions and events depicting the local culture.
