An amazing long-distance hiking path from the glacier on Dachstein to the wine country of Styria attracts nature lovers of all kinds. The route offers a lot more than just a great hike: gorgeous landscapes, rich cultural history, hot thermal springs and regional cuisine are all part of the journey.
After the first part of the hike through the eternal ice to the Guttenberghaus, the hikers can choose from two different routes towards the wine country. The 548 kilometer northern route goes through 35 stages to Bad Radkersburg in hot spring country and the 382 kilometer southern route through 24 stages to Leibnitz in the Southern Styria Nature Reserve. Each of the routes offer numerous culinary and cultural highlights to be discovered on the journey through the beautiful nature.
