Semiška Penina will participate on the fifth edition of “Salon of Sparkling Wines in Ljubljana” which will take place on Friday 16th February between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m., at one of the most stunning locations in Ljubljana, the Great Hall of the Grand Hotel Union.
During the event the selected Slovenian and foreign sparkling wines will be offered. At the Salon you will be able to taste four sparkling wines from the Simonič family. Sparkling wines are repeatedly busting the cliché of being wines for only special occasions and events. As a result, they are becoming increasingly popular in one’s everyday life, as well as wines that can accompany excellent cuisine.
In the Simonič family, viticulture is a tradition which dates back several generations. At the end of the nineties, Ivan Simonič became the first private producer of sparkling wine in Bela krajina.
Specifically, the selection of sparkling wines, which will be presented, includes:
- “Semiško peninsula” semi-dry (2004)
- “Semiška penka” dry (2004)
- "Blue frankinja” (2004)
- “Semisko sparkling Gold” (2004)
- “Amber” sparkling wine with a specific taste produced in 2005
- The first series of the semi-sparkling wine “Barrique”, produced in 2009
