British magazine calls Romania “Europe’s most overlooked holiday destination”

The British magazine The Spectator recently published an article about tourism in Romania, calling the country “one of, if not the most overlooked of European holiday destinations”. The article presents Romania as a place that has it all: amazing landscapes, centuries-old cities full of historical sites and a unique culture with delicious local cuisine. Many parts of Romania are modernizing, but the country still preserves its distinctive rural folk culture. Romania offers destinations for everyone from quiet sandy beaches to vibrant cities with trendy coffee shops and small bistros.

The article recommends some special destinations for everyone to visit: Gura Portiței, the small secluded island at the edge of the Danube Delta for relaxing vacation among the nature, Sibiu in Western Romania for a cultural-oriented trip and Şuior in Northern Romania for a skiing trip at the beautiful mountain landscapes. The article presents many reasons why Romania is an underrated holiday destination, hoping that soon more people will realize the amazing things the country has to offer.
