Keeping Tradition

The first of September was a day full of activities for wonderful guests of BIG BERRY — bloggers Daryl & Mindi Hirsch! 
Mindi and Daryl, bloggers at 2foodtrippers, visited Domača obrt Cvitkovič, which started linen fabrication centuries ago. Christina — the stunning hostess of Domača, welcomed us warmly with a tray full of home-made juice, fruit and wine. Later on she invited us to museum, which preserves the history of linen making. Cvitkovič family is one of 5 families in Slovenia, who keep the tradition of manual linen making. 
The guests learned about the process of linen making and painted traditional 'Belokranjska pisanica' – an Easter egg, which they took as souvenirs.
