Salzburg - Alexandra Antonitsch's tips

Alexandra Antonitsch is a Young girl the leaves in Wallersee, a town 20 minutes way from Salzburg.

She was interviewed by BIG BERRY about attractions in nature, city and parties. Read below her tips on what to do when in Salzburg and its surroundings.

For my friends and me, we are totally looking forward to the Electronic Music Festival "Electric Love", which is organised every year at the Salzburg Ring. It's more for younger people, but another event in Salzburg for every generation are the Salzburger Festspiele, both of them take place in Salzburg at the Festspielhaus.

Around here, in Wallersee, people are used to enjoying a relaxed and calm atmosphere. There are many camping areas around here in nearly every village, and in Seekirchen and Neumarkt you have the opportunity to rent a bike or a boat to explore the area around the lake.

During the weekends, we like to go to the city and go to bars (Segabar, Watzmann, Take 5), to cafes (especially where you have the possibility to smoke shisha, "Cafe Luca", for example), or to the Cineplex Cinemas.

If you are looking for a traditional Sightseeing Tour, I would recommend you to visit the Festung Hohen-Salzburg, the House of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, or simply walk through the beautiful old part of the Centre.

The most practised sport at the Wallersee is Kite Surfing, they have an own Kite Surf School, but I'm not sure if everybody is allowed to try Kite Surfing without an application.

Another lake you should go is the Mattsee or Wolfgangsee.

If I were a tourist here in Salzburg, I would also visit the Gaisberg to see the beautiful view at Salzburg at Night, go Bowling at the Pitafun or Play Lasertag with my friends.
