Meet Vita Rau, our determined and sustainable care designer
Our third fashion and textile design student from the department of Textiles, Graphic Arts and Design of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering - University of Ljubljana is the determined Vita Rau from the Slovenian capital city. We spend some amazing days with her here in BIG BERRY Kolpa River.
Vita is a young but already a very resolute textile designer. More focusing on the textiles part in general than clothing she lately started to incorporate something special in her textile creations. Wood! Vita has started to use Slovenian wood and other wooden materials for two reasons: to extract the best of its potential and in a connected and sustainable aim because “it matters, society is influencing design and the other way around!”
Between starting her own brand with different types of products and organizing events, she is still hesitating. One thing for sure, Vita has chosen the right way and she needs to be able to do what she really wants, to get inspiration from what surrounds her and not being limited in the process of creation.
Her stay here in BIG BERRY was quite a cultural shock because of the connected and friendly atmosphere, and we are glad for greeting this talented designer!
